Good morning everyone and happy Friday! Today we wanted to highlight the Southern Medical Association (SMA) and also their Annual Scientific Assembly. The SMA is a leader in physician-led education and it’s mission is to “improve quality of patient care through multidisciplinary, interprofessional education.”
This year’s Annual Scientific Assembly will be held in Chattanooga, TN, November 3-5, 2016. Not only is this a great chance to network with colleagues throughout the region but you’ll also have the chance to earn up to a maximum of 16.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Below is just a few of the many topics they’ll cover at this event (don’t forget to go HERE to see a full listing of topics covered):
- Recognizing/treating common dermatological conditions
- Appropriate lab tests and medication use/monitoring for musculoskeletal complaints
- Cervical cancer screening/managing abnormal results
And don’t worry, the SMA has plenty of great activities scheduled throughout the event to keep you feeling refreshed and having a good time! Make sure to plan some time to get out and explore the great city of Chattanooga as well.
